In this diptych, I have explored the intimate geography of human form, focusing on the strength and grace encapsulated in a single gesture—the clenching of a fist. The left panel represents what we are used to imagining when thinking of our hands: something ordinary and stationary. In the right panel, however, I illustrate the beautiful landscape of our skin that tends to be overlooked by revealing its subtle textures, contours, and range of colors and shades. Ultimately, this piece is meant to serve as a reminder of the beauty within each of us.
